Get to Know the Chef of Toronto Caterer and Kitchen
When you get your food catered, the person who’s preparing your meal is typically invisible to you unless there’s an issue or problem with the order. Chef Ivan Bodnar has been working in kitchens and catering businesses in Toronto since 1992, and he knows what it takes to make sure that every meal he serves his customers is delicious, fresh, and exactly what they ordered. In this interview, Ron talks about his career as a chef, some of the most important factors for success in catering, and how he got started in catering after graduating from culinary school.

My Core Values
Health is of paramount importance. I’m always trying new ways to incorporate fresh ingredients and nutritious meals into my daily diet. With time, comes experience and that’s why I have decided to go back in kitchen of Toronto Caterer and Kitchen where I started culinary journey as a Chef at Toronto Caterer and Kitchen after working with number of renowned restaurants in downtown Toronto.
Favorite Foods
Though it may not seem like it, Campbell loves a good cheese pizza. Pizza is my all-time favorite food, he says. Cheese pizza from Big Lou’s is probably my top pick in terms of American-style cheese pizzas; I really enjoy getting one delivered and sitting down with friends and watching a movie. For lighter fare, he also enjoys fresh salads—but only at restaurants where he can get his dressing on the side!
Worst Memory in Cooking
My worst memory in cooking was when I was a youngster. Back then, my family owned a restaurant and I used to cook. One day, my father thought it would be fun for me to make an enormous batch of chicken wings. He asked me how much salt I would need to flavor 100 lbs of chicken wings and didn’t give me any direction as far as if he wanted them deep fried or not, what temperature and so on.
